Title: Maintenance Associate, Full time (35 hrs./wk.)

Location: St. Peter & Paul the Apostle Parish, Bradenton FL

Classification: Hourly/Non-exempt

Overview

St. Peter & Paul the Apostle Parish is seeking a Maintenance Associate who will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of maintenance for parish buildings and property.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops schedules for building maintenance, cleaning, sanitation, ordering of supplies and general upkeep of parish property
• Performs routine paint, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry repairs, etc. along with preventative maintenance.
• Provides general oversight of all contracts and activities pertaining to building and grounds operations including routine maintenance, new construction, renovation, remodeling, and any special services
• Responsible for set-up and break-down of tables and chairs for events and meetings
• Responds to emergency calls 24 hours a day
• Performs recording keeping activities
• Any other duties or special projects as assigned by Business Manager or Pastor

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have basic maintenance skills
• Working knowledge of building equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, staff, and parishioners
• Understanding of safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach continuously throughout day
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors
• Valid drivers license
